June 07
Ellie has given birth to our
first Selkirk litter of 2007 sired by Bing. Details of
these can be found on our kittens page. We also have
Katie, our lilac tortie due to have kittens in 2 weeks also
sired by Bing so will keep the site updated with their
details. We have a lovely British litter running
around or I should say ruling the house at the moment, their
is just one little blue boy still available. We hope
to have another litter of beautiful blue babies sometime
around the end of June. It is lovely to have the
kittens around again after a break over the past year, can't
wait to see them all grow and develop.
March '07
We have been a little lapse in
updating our website due to family commitments keeping us
busy, however over the next couple of weeks I hope to update
all the pages and them keep on top of them. We have
kittens due throughout March and will update the kittens
page accordingly.
October '06
We have under gone some
changes here over the summer. Homer has now been
neutered and has taken his place as a much spoilt couch
potato......and loving every minute of it!.
Although we have been too busy to show through the summer we
have kept some lovely kittens which we are looking forward
to showing towards the end of the year and early 2007.
Nala has visited a lovely
lilac spotted stud boy, Casper, she is expecting her kittens
around the 31st. We will update this page with details
on their arrival and our planned matings for 2007.
Aug/Sept '06
We have had a very busy summer
enjoying all our kittens and seeing them go off to their new
homes. Thank you so much to the lovely new owners for
the photos and updates, it is great to hear you all enjoying
them so much.
We hope to be showing both
Razzel and Hank shortly, we will update this page with their
progress.
June/July '06
We have seen our kittens
growing quickly through the last couple of months.
Jopalma Hanky Panky 'Hank', Jopalma Razzeldazzel 'Razzel'
and Jopalma Autumn Twirl 'Whisper' will be staying here
with us, we are very much looking forward to showing
them over the coming months.
The other kittens will all be
leaving to go their news home this month, we will miss them
charging around the house, things will seem very quite.
We are hoping to re-vamp our
website over the next couple of weeks to include the new
kittens that are staying and some of the wonderful pictures
we have received of kittens in their new homes. We
have some lovely new pictures to be added of our older cats
too.
May '06
What a great month we have
had. Our three litters have all arrived safely and
are growing fast.
Cloudmaker Tabatha
Twitchet made her show debut on May 20th at Suffolk &
Norfolk. She had a Red Card
Day, taking first in her Open, Best of Breed, and
three firsts in her side classes. Not bad for her
first time out!
We don't have anymore
litters due now, we are enjoying the kitten here now and
look forward to showing those that are staying towards
the end of the summer. Update pictures will be
added soon.
April 2006
We are delighted to
announce that 'Pancake' delivered her litter with no
problems on the 6th. We now have four girls and
two boys gracing our nursery. We will be updating
our 'Kittens' page with their pictures and details in
due course.
February 2006
We have a couple of litter
dues early April. These will be sired by our Gr.Ch.
import boy, Bing. Please contact us if you would
like to be informed when these kittens arrive and what
may be available.
Bing has made several
appearances on television this week in the trailers for
the 'Inside Out' programme to be aired on BCC 1, Monday
27th. We will be watching to see if he as a
staring role on the programme.
We are very proud to
announce that 'Bing' gained his
Grand Champion title on February 11th. We
had a great day at the Derby Show.
Our lovely kittens are
getting ready to go to their new homes this week, we
will miss them charging around the house, however
fingers crossed we should have some lovely blue and
silver kittens due soon from our new imported boy
'Bing'. Updated news will either appear here or on
our kittens page.
January 2006
The first meeting of the
newly formed Selkirk Rex Cat Club
took place earlier this month. If you would like
to join or would like more information please either
contact myself, Secretary or
Emma Baker ,Membership Secretary. You

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
We are very much looking
forward to 2006. We have some exciting show and
breeding plans for both our Selkirk boys. Our next
litters will be due hopefully in April, these will be
sired by our new import boy 'Bing'.
We will be showing the
kittens from our recent litter with both GCCF and TICA
this year, we will update this page with their news.
We are looking forward to
getting our new British Shorthair programme off the
ground too with some new long awaited additions joining
us early this year.
December
We have 5 beautiful
kittens in our nursery. Four of these kitten are
curly pictures can be seen on the kittens page.
We are very pleased to
announce that Bing has arrived safely and is settling in
well. We are so grateful to Mary for allowing us
to have this wonderful boy. More news to follow
soon.
November
We had a great day at the
Supreme Cat Show held at the NEC on the 19th.
Homer gained his 7th merit, he also had lots of
attention from passers by which he lapped up. We
are expecting kittens any day now and are also eagerly
awaiting the arrival of Bing who will be flying here on
the 28th. We will update the site with pictures of
both kittens and Bing very soon.
Homer had an excellent
Red Card Day and gained his
6th merit at the Rex Cat Club Championship Show 5.11.05.
It was an good day for the Selkirk's with some lovely
kittens attending and all gaining their merits. I
had a great time catching up with everyone despite
getting lost and nearly missing the vetting in. We
hope to have some photos and news soon of our new import
stud boy Ch. Nitewind
Badabing! who joins us later this month.
October
We have had some lovely
photos sent to us of Tubby who was from Kiara's first
litter. Please visit our gallery page to see him
and some of our cats and kittens..
We are very pleased to
announce that CFA Ch. Nitewind
Badabing! is now also a TICA
Champion. He received some excellent comments from
his judges, we are very much looking forward to showing
him here in the UK.
We are expecting kittens
in November, I will update the kittens page once they
have arrived.
September
Bo and Rissi are now
getting ready to go to their new homes. It will
seem very quiet without kittens running around the
house. We have lots of shows planned through
October and November so that will keep us busy until the
next litter arrive. We are also very excited as
Bing will be joining us in November. We collected
Jasmine last weekend, she is so sweet, loving and
extremely playful she has already won us all over except
perhaps Kiara who has yet to give her approval. We
hope to be adding some more pages to the website this
month so keep checking back, their will be lots more
photos too.
August
Nala's kittens are now
growing and causing havoc, they will be going to their
news home in September were I know they will continue to
be spoilt rotten. We are hoping to
repeat the mating between Kiara and Homer later this
year in a bid to get a blue spotty curly girl or boy, so keep watch
for kitten news. This month will see the arrival
of a new girl at Jopalma, we were looking for an
addition to our breed programme and found her at the Trueblu cattery,
we will add details once she has arrived.
July
We have now added details
of our new USA import stud boy that will be joining us
in November CH. Nite Wind Badabing!.
We are very grateful to Mary for entrusting us with
such a super boy. Bing has already embarked on a
successful show career and will continue to be shown
until he joins us here in the UK. There is a link
to Mary's web site on the links page where you can see
her beautiful cats. More pictures of him can be
found in the gallery.
We are extremely proud to
announce that Homer gained his
Grand Champion title on 16.7.05 at the Ponteland
TICA show. This is the first time we have attended
a TICA show we had a fantastic day, Homer gained two
2nds and a 6th in the finals against many super cats of
different breeds. Our thanks go to Dee Marsland-Round for allowing us to have
our lovely boy.
Nala successfully gave
birth to her kittens on Saturday 25th June. We now have
a beautiful curly girl and boy. Pictures of these
two super kittens are now
on the kittens
page.
June
We are expecting Nala's
litter on 22nd June hopefully we will have some nice
curly kittens. I will update the kittens page as soon as
they are born. If you would like to be added to
our waiting list please contact us.
Pudding, Pickles and Pancake are
wonderful bundles of fun and mischief, they will soon be
leaving to go to their new home and we will miss them
terribly.

Nala has now been mated to
Homer, we will update the kittens
page with details as soon as they arrive. There may be
a potential for longhaired kittens in this litter.
We are also very excited
about a new addition joining us here at Jopalma from the
USA. Watch this space for details!
Suffolk & Norfolk -
21.05.05
Homer gained his 2nd adult
merit making him the 4th Selkirk Rex in the UK to
qualify at a tender age of 10mths!. He now holds 5
merits from 5 shows. He again placed well in his side
classes with a 2nd, 3rd, and a 4th.
April
Kiara produced a lovely litter of kittens on 9.04.05 you can
see them on the
Kitten page. These pictures will be updated as
they grow. Nala will hopefully be next in the family
planning.
Misty has come to join us here at Jopalma. She will be a
valuable asset to our breeding programme and we are very
excited at the prospect of showing her. You can see her on

Bedford & District - 23.04.05
Homer collected his first adult merit and another lovely
write up. He also placed 2nd in one of his side classes.
It was a lovely show and we all had a good day.

March
We are
eagerly awaiting the arrival of Kiara’s litter sired by
Homer. We are expecting blue spotty and blue self with and
without white. I am hoping the curl fairy is in town! News
of these kittens will be on the
kitten page.
Coventry & Leicester -
26.2.05
Homer gains
his last kitten merit he has a good day and places 1st,
3rd and 2 x 4th in his side classes.
Croydon Cat Club -12.2.05
Really good
day for Homer he gains another merit, and places very well
in his side classes gaining 3 x 1st, 2 x 2nd
a 3rd.
